_____A late addition to my "dark caricature series" and a collaboration with a close friend - who'se photograph served as the base for this grousome image. This work represents a small step forward in my skill, but just as much marks itself with limitation. Working on this gave me good practice, especially in texture - though I see much I would do differently. I suppose that's what learning is all about, no? The stylized title in the upper right corner makes this piece feel a bit like a trading-card, which I suppose isn't too far off from what it is - though I also see it as a badge of creative naivety. The chains in this image were meant to visually tie this image in with another that features them - the reverse-caricature of myself, titled "The Machinist". Even in its darkness, this image remains an expression of our enduring and creative friendship.
