_____Origninally the logo for "Team Destroy," a group of friends that gather for our shared love of cycling - it now represents the Desroy Cooperative, a non-pofit bicycle-advocacy group in its infant stages. "Destroy" has become part of local cycling culture in its home town, and is looking to broaden its horizons and make some things happen. To paraphrase the group's website, the word "Destroy" is used in a positive sense - destroying one's limitations, and forces in society that do harm. (Like pollution, for example.) Things are on hold while the founding member re-settles in a new area, but the whole Destroy crew have a lot up their sleeves. I'll link the site once that ball starts rolling. This image started as a single run of stickers, distributed through local bike shops and chance encounters between individuals. They quickly showed up all over town, in places we never expected, embraced by people we never knew. That was the signal we needed to take things to a new level, and so the bigger project of Destroy Cooperative began to take shape. If you're a cycling person, or green transport person, or just wouldn't mind seeing more people on bikes - stay tuned for updates about Destroy Cooperative. In the meantime, check out the teaser trailer in my video section!
